St Patrick’s is the centre of a large parish community. Our church is embraced by thousands of people as their spiritual “home”. We have many, many, families that live and work in this area and who have worshipped and found comfort within our walls for generations.
Those who have moved away for work or to start their own family life often are keen to retain their connection with the parish and to remain registered members of our parish community. We are equally welcoming of people who have moved into the area be they from these islands or further afield. With so much building and development going on around us, it is only natural that there will be newcomers to the parish. You are most welcome to join us and we can assure you of the warmest of welcomes in St Patrick’s.
The opening of the new Ulster University Belfast Campus on our doorstep will greatly increase the number of younger parishioners and we are delighted to reach out to students and to assure you that St Patrick’s will be your “home away from home” and will provide a place of safety, of peace and of spiritual renewal and fulfillment for you.
We pride ourselves on being a “living, breathing, parish” – diverse, engaging, dynamic. At our heart is a huge spiritual reservoir of faith and around us a vast array of opportunities to be involved in parish life, to be part of our community.
So whether you are new to the area or just don’t want to lose touch with your parish we urge you to register as a member of the parish. Simply call the Parish Office on 028 9032 4597 or use the form on the Contact Us page and we will be happy to welcome you!
